I’m very proud to release my song and music video Blood On Your Hands, today 7 pm CET, on the symbolic date of August 8th. Ikväll släpps min musikvideo för låten Blood On Your Hands på Youtube!

The song Blood On Your Hands portrays how ordinary people always pay the highest price in war, in the cruel game of power. It’s about how time goes by leaving open wounds and the longing to go back to a place that only lives in the memory. The song is also about hope, to one day return to the land once called home. It’s also about remembering and keeping memories alive, memories before the war.

Against the background of the ongoing war in Ukraine, I decided to release my song “Blood On Your Hands”, focusing on the situation of IDPs and refugees. I wrote the song several years ago during the war in Georgia in 2008. The song and music video will be released, today, on August 8^th in remembrance of that day in 2008.

მეამაყება წარმოგიდგინოთ მუსიკალური ვიდეო ”Blood on your hands”, რომელიც გამოდის დღეს 8 აგვისტოს. დიდ მადლობას ვუხდი სუყველას, ვინც მუშაობდა ამ ვიდეოზე.

უკრაინაში მიმდინარე მოვლენებთან დაკავშირებით, დროა წარმოგიდგინოთ ჩემი სიმღერა “სისხლიანი ხელები გაქვთ“, რომელიც რამდენიმე წლის წინ დავწერე. სიმღერის ინსპირაცია იყო 1990-იანი წლებში აფხაზეთში მიმდინარე ომი, რომელსაც პირდაპირი გავლენა ჰქონდა ჩემ ქართულ ოჯახზე. მისი შექმნის პროცესზე ასევე იმოქმედა 2008 წლის რუსეთ-საქართველოს ომმაც, რომელიც საკუთარ თავზე გამოვცადე. სიმღერაში აღწერილია ადამიანების ტანჯვა, ომისა და კონფლიქტების ის უმაღლესი საფასური, რომელსაც უბრალო მოქალაქეები იხდიან. კომპოზიცია ასევე ეძღვნება ომამდელ მოგონებებსა და მათ ჩვენს გონებაში გაცოცხლებას. გადმოცემულია ემოცია, თუ რას ნიშნავს დრო გადიოდეს და ცხოვრობდე ღია ჭრილობებით, გენატრებოდეს და გსურდეს დაბრუნდე ადგილებში, რომლებიც ახლა მხოლოდ მოგონებებში ცოცხლობს. სიმღერა არის იმედზეც, უკან დაბრუნების იმედზე, იმ მიწაზე დაბრუნების იმედზე, რომელსაც ადრე სახლი ერქვა. მუსიკალური ვიდეოს გამოცემის თარიღია 8 აგვისტ, 21 საათზე თბილისის დროით, 2008 წლის მოვლენების მოსაგონრად. 

Idag den 8:e augusti släpps min låt ”Blood On Your Hands” som jag skrev för många år sedan i samband med det rysk-georgiska krigsutbrottet, 2008. Med anledning av kriget i Ukraina känns det särskilt angeläget att nu ge ut den.

Blood On Your Hands är en sång om den lilla människans lidande, om hjälplösheten inför galna makthavare, men också om hopp och längtan tillbaka till det som en gång var och om minnena som lever kvar.
